Art education is critical for the development of full human beings. It nurtures the creative spirit and fosters the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children…Through the arts, children learn to observe, interpret, and make sense of the world around them, developing essential skills for lifelong learning.

Littlest Learners - Learning through the Arts
Looking to set up an enriching arts program for four- to six-year-olds? Looking to enhance your current art offerings for early learners? Our Littlest Learners program is just for you!
ArtSparks Foundation’s Littlest Learners program is designed to nurture children’s imagination and creativity while building a range of foundational skills from close observation to discovery through exploration to problem solving, as well as decision-making, focus, social-emotional skills, collaboration, fine motor skills, and much more. Curricula revolving around four enriching centers, painting, collage, sculpture, and puppet-making, offer numerous opportunities to engage with art materials and processes. The Littlest Learners program also supports language development in young children, connecting language to the expressive qualities of the arts.
In addition, the Littlest Learners program offers teachers access to two enriching, hands-on professional development workshops designed to enhance their capacity to provide a range of rich centre-based visual arts learning experiences and instruction for young learners.
One parent or parent-child workshop is also organized in order to provide parents an opportunity to experience and understand the value of the arts in supporting their children’s learning and development.

The arts teach children that problems can have more than one solution and that questions can have more than one answer… that small differences can have large effects…The arts help children learn to say what cannot be said.
