Imagine what the future would look like if we empower all children; nurture their creative capacities; encourage them to be imaginative thinkers and doers.
ArtSparks Foundation is an educational nonprofit that works to support the development of 21st century learning and life skills in children through the medium of visual art & design. ArtSparks also supports the professional development of teachers and educators, encouraging them to reflect on their teaching practice, and explore new ways to enrich their students learning.
What We Do
We offer school-based programmes that use visual art & design as a means to foster the development of 21st century learning & life skills in children—skills such as problem solving, creative risk-taking, collaboration, communication, and much more.
We support the professional development of teachers and educators, encouraging them to engage with the creative process, reflect on their pedagogical practice, and explore new ways to enrich their students learning.
We work to positively influence school culture by liaising with teachers and administrators and conducting programmes that enrich student learning—programmes that run parallel to and supplement the school day curriculum
"Understanding content by providing reading material is only half way done for anyone to learn anything. Wholesome learning happens when you do it as a hands-on activity. This is the most valuable learning experience I got through the visual art program. Art may be a simple 3-letter word. But the science behind making an art piece is amazing. It is actually an interdisciplinary activity and combines cognitive, kinesthetic and visual skills by striking a balance.”
