Community of Practice

Community of Practice (CoP), initiated to sustain the momentum of the EdSparks Collective Program and build a network of reflective practitioners committed to deepening their understanding of art's potential to enrich students' learning. The CoP supports cohort members incorporate art into their teaching practices by promoting its implementation in authentic educational settings while fostering a robust network of practitioners who value and harness the transformative power of art in education.
ONLINE LEARNING CIRCLES
The intent of Learning Circles is to continue building and sharing knowledge around art education with the cohort members through hands-on sessions and discussions. Learning circles serve as a collaborative space for participants to share their experiences, explore diverse perspectives, and gain inspiration from one another. The workshops covers a range of topics, including effective teaching practices, innovative pedagogical strategies and tools, exploration of various art mediums, and other relevant subjects in art education. This initiative builds upon the learning from the EdSparks Collective program, offering participants opportunities to deepen their understanding and apply new insights in their work.

Frequency: Once in two months for the entire school year

ONLINE OPEN FORUMS
Open Forums are intended to serve as a safe and brave space hosted by ArtSparks for cohort members to come together; brainstorm ideas for different art program initiatives they’d like to set up within their respective organizations; update the progress of ongoing art program efforts taken; clarify doubts related to program ideas being tested or art-based curriculum being designed; receive feedback for their initiatives from other members and the ArtSparks team.

Frequency: Once in two months for the entire school year

FIELD BASED REGIONAL MEETS
To provide enhanced support to participant organizations beyond comprehensive online assistance, ArtSparks conducts occasional regional meets across India. These visits involve engaging directly with participant organizations at their locations and gathering valuable field data. In an effort to encourage interaction and exchange knowledge, we also invite other organizations in the same region to attend these gatherings.

Frequency: 2 visits for the year
