The ArtSparks Angle

The ArtSparks Angle is ArtSparks Foundation's professional learning program newsletter. Through this newsletter we intend to bring you relevant and timely information from the field of art education, and highlight our professional development offerings. In this edition, we cover the highlights of the second half of EdSparks Collective 2020-21 program. ISSUE 5 - DEC. 2020
In this issue, we discuss the existing approaches in teaching visual arts in a classroom and explore robust teaching methodologies in the visual arts. We also have Maria Leena, one of our EdSparks Collective cohort members, reflecting on her experiences on conducting art-based interventions with children.

ISSUE 4 - NOV. 2020
Catch a glimpse of the first half of the ArtSparks Foundation's professional development program, EdSparks Collective 2020-21: program overview, a few of the participants' reflections and artworks in this issue. ISSUE 3 - OCT. 2020
In this issue, we are excited to announce the launch of the book 'Art Sparks: Ideas. Methods. Process.', one-of-a-kind in Indian Art Education context. We also have Aswini Kumar, a past EdSparks Collective (2019-20) participant and founder of the organization, 'Gramothhan', sharing some of his experiences while conducting art based interventions with children.

ISSUE 2 - SEPT. 2020
This issue highlights an article by Nisha Nair, Founder & Executive Director, ArtSparks Foundation. The article first appeared in Business World as part of a case analysis on the current system of education in India. The article highlights the need for transformation of the education system, and the role that the arts can play. Also featured is Ruchi Dhona, the Founder of Let's Open a Book, reflecting on her experiences participating in ArtSparks Foundation's professional development program, EdSparks Collective.
